The project “EU Support to Strengthen the Fight against Migrant Smuggling and Traf-ficking in Human Beings in the Western Balkans” is designed to improve the conditions for preventing and combating migrant smuggling and trafficking in human beings in the Western Balkans. The interlinked outputs of the project EU4FAST cover all elements of preventing and combatting the smuggling of migrants and trafficking in human be-ings in a four-pillar approach (Prevention, Protection, Prosecution and Partnership) by: Working with law enforcement and judicial authorities on inter-institutional and intra-regional cooperation; Strengthening the partnership with EU Member States and EU Justice and Home Affairs Agencies, including through the active participation of West-ern Balkan authorities in EMPACT; Fostering the ability of Western Balkan authorities and frontline workers to identify and provide protection to (potential) victims of traffick-ing in human beings and to refer them to competent state and non-state assistance and support services; Assisting border authorities in preventing and countering mi-grant smuggling and trafficking in human beings, in line with EU standards and human rights.
Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in Bosnia and Herzegovina is planning to implement the procedure of selecting the most favorable supplier related to the procurement of specialized equipment for the needs of the project partner.
The letter of expression of interest should include the following elements:
