Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and under the Sustainable Economic Development and Employment Promotion (SEDEP) Programme, invites applications from qualified individual experts to support the implementation of the EU for Digital Transformation in Bosnia and Herzegovina (EU4DT) Action, co-financed by the European Union and BMZ, for the following assignment:
Technical Advisory Services for Strengthening Participation in EU Funding Programmes
The Sustainable Economic Development and Employment Promotion (SEDEP) programme, through its EU4 Digital Transformation in Bosnia and Herzegovina (EU4DT) Action, supports Bosnia and Herzegovina in strengthening participation in European funding programmes, particularly Horizon Europe (HE) and the Digital Europe Programme (DEP). Building on the successful stakeholder mobilisation and awareness-raising activities of the first phase, the selected contractor will support GIZ in implementing the next phase of the intervention from September 2026 to October 2027. The assignment covers five interrelated areas of work: (i) ecosystem coordination and proposal pipeline development; (ii) strengthening national multipliers and support structures; (iii) study visits, peer learning and international cooperation; (iv) institutional capacity development; and (v) coordination, communication and reporting.
This call is open to individual experts from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
We kindly ask interested experts to submit the following documentation:
- • CV (max. 4 pages), clearly indicating the position held, the role and the duration of involvement in each reference project
- • Self-declaration of eligibility to be filled upon request
- • At least one reference project in Strengthening Participation in EU Funding Programmes, including project title, contracting party/implementer, duration and the expert’s role
- • The technical assessment is only based on reference projects with a minimum commission value of 40.000 BAM.
Qualification criteria
Applicants are expected to demonstrate:
- • University degree in economics, business administration, innovation management, digital transformation or engineering
- • Excellent command of English and Bosnian.
- • Extensive professional experience in EU-funded projects, regional economic development, business development and digital transformation.
- • Proven expertise in stakeholder engagement, capacity development and advisory services related to European funding programmes.
- • Strong experience in the Western Balkans, particularly Bosnia and Herzegovina
- • Demonstrated experience in project management, stakeholder coordination and the delivery of awareness-raising and information activities.
